Wayne D. Louck, 85, of New Boston died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at Mercer County Hospital Hospice, Aledo. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at New Boston United Methodist Church. Burial is at New Boston Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Mercer County VFW Post 1571. There is no visitation. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to Aledo First Baptist Church or New Boston United Methodist Church. He was born Sept. 8, 1923, in New Boston, the son of Odd and Minnie Stimpson Louck. He married Bonnie Giles Nov. 15, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark. During World War II he served in the United States Air Force for eight years. He then worked for the Corps of Engineers at Lock and Dam 17, New Boston, for 32 years. After 40 total years of government service, he retired. Wayne loved sports. He was an avid Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Illinois fan. Mr. Louck also enjoyed gardening. His memberships included the former New Boston American Legion, Mercer County VFW Post 1571 and was a former member of the Muscatine Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Louck, New Boston; one daughter, Robyn Anderson, Aledo; four sons (and spouses), Donnie (Diane) Louck, Joy, Mickey (Laurie) Louck, Aledo, Andy Louck and Steve Louck, both of New Boston; seven grandchildren, Darin Louck, Angie Davis, Ray Louck, Danielle Louck, Noah Louck, Brett Anderson and Bridget Anderson; and four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Brady and Addison Louck and Paige Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters.
