Steven R. Gulley

Steven R. Gulley, 64, of Matherville, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 13, 2023.

Per his wishes there will be no services at this time. If you would like to, please think of a good time or memory you had with him and toast him with a Pepsi or Bud Light while listening to his favorite band AC/DC. Dennison Funeral Home, Viola is handling arrangements.

Steven was born January 9, 1959 in Aledo, Illinois the son of Robert and Donna Harris Gulley. He graduated from Sherrard High School. Steven married Carrie Hall December 29, 1979 in Matherville, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards with his friends, shuffleboard, darts, pool, listening to classic rock music, woodworking, tinkering around outside, and spending time with his grandchildren.   

Those left to cherish his memory are his father Robert Gulley of Rock Island; wife:  Carrie; daughters:  Stephanie (Greg) Smith of LeClaire, IA and Andrea (Josh) Beason of Atalissa, IA; grandchildren:  Hunter and Sawyer Beason and Gavin Smith; sister Cindy (Rick) Hazan-Canfield of Ithaca, NY; father-in-law Dean (Kathy) Hall of Moline, Illinois.

Steven was preceded in death by his mother, mother-in-law, and a special cousin John Harris.
