Steven Brown

Steven L. Brown, 59, of Keithsburg, Illinois died Friday, Feburary 23, 2007 at St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, Illinois. Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg, Illinois with military rites conducted by Mercer County V.F.W. Post 1571. Memorials may be left for the Brady Brown College Fund. Cremation rites have been accorded. Dennison Funeral Home - Aledo was entrusted with arrangements. Steven was born November 26, 1947 in Keithsburg, the son of Leslie and Elna (Olson) Brown. He married Karen Russell on May 24, 1974 in Joy, Illinois. Steve served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He had worked at Admiral in Galesburg. Steve enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also was a former member of the New Boston American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Karen Brown, Keithsurg; sons, Clint (Jessica) Brown, New Boston and J.R. Brown, Keitsburg; grandson, Brady Brown; a sister, Luci (Lloyd) Shaw, Keithsburg and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
