Steve Rupe

Steven B. Rupe, 49, of Aledo, Illinois died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Dexter, Missouri.  Memorial services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19 ^th at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo.  Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery.  Following the graveside service, the family invites all to the Aledo Depot for a time of food and fellowship.  Memorials may be left for this daughter, Becky Rupe College Fund.

Steve was born August 6, 1965 in Ottumwa, Iowa a son of Jim and Twila Pettit Rupe.  He graduated from Aledo High School in 1983.  He hauled HazMat for ChemTreat in Eldridge since 2007.  He was a very hard worker at anything he did and took pride in his job and in the over a million miles he drove throughout the years.  He was employed previously by Gless Bros in Blue Grass, Iowa for 15 years and worked various jobs before starting there.

His biggest enjoyment was spending time with his daughters and grandson.  He also enjoyed NASCAR, mushroom hunting, motorcycles, reminiscing about younger days and all kinds of music.  He was very proud of his 21 years of sobriety.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters:  Cassy (Garrett) Bieri, Julia Kosiarski and Becky Rupe; grandson:  Gavin Bieri, and twin granddaughter’s due in July, all from Aledo; sisters:  Sherry (John) Barnett, Aledo, Lori (Lynne Bridgford) Rupe, Fort Collins, CO and Brenda Rupe, Aledo; nephews:  Shane Barnett and Cory (Linsey) Barnett and great niece and nephew: Savannah and Kaden.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Becky.
