Shirley Dellitt

Shirley Dellitt, 92, of Aledo, Illinois died Monday February 6, 2023 at her home.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30a.m. Friday, February 10^th at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Aledo. Visitation will follow until service time at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Aledo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to VFW Auxiliary or Aledo Senior Center.

Shirley was born August 25, 1930 in Mercer County, Illinois the daughter of Charles and Helen (Plunkett) Mack. She married Everett Dellitt August 13, 1955 in Aledo, Illinois. He died November 25, 2001. She worked at Viola Sales and Engineering, the telephone company, and the Maid Rite. Shirley also cleaned Dr. offices in the area and was a private in-home health aid. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Aledo. Shirley enjoyed sudoku, word searches and playing solitaire and tri-ominos.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children:  Steve (Karen) Dellitt of New Boston, Ed (Lori) Dellitt, and Brian Dellitt both of Aledo; grandchildren Tammy, Tosha, and Candace; 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Dan, and sisters Cheryl and Trudy.
