Ruth Garlough

Ruth E. Garlough, 57, of Aledo, Illinois died at home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.

The 10:00 a.m., Sunday, June 8 ^th church services at Community Bible Fellowship in Aledo will be dedicated to Ruth’s memory, all family and friends are invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the family.

Ruth Ellen Becker was born November 1, 1956 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri a daughter of Fred and Rose Glaub Becker.  She married Jay Garlough on May 25, 1992 in Rock Island.  Ruth had worked many manufacturing jobs over the years.  She had a great appreciation for the outdoors.  She loved the water and mountains.  You could find her fishing, hiking or just watching wildlife, she was especially fond of eagles.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jay Garlough, Aledo, IL; children, Timothy (Kathy) Becker, Howe, TX, Joseph (Lisa) Kososki, Milan, IL, Nathan Kososki, Coyne Center, IL, Jamie Kaiser, Aledo, IL, Jennifer (Craig) Adams, Rock Island, IL, Paul (Vanessa) Garlough, El Cajon, CA and Jeanette (Nathan) Sipes, Aledo, IL; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Louise Blaylock, Perryville, MO, Sue DeWeese, Perryville, MO, Hubert (Donna) Becker, East Moline, IL, Oliver (Virginia) Becker, Coyne Center, IL, Donald (Cathy) Becker, Louisiana, Sally DeWeese, Perryville, MO, Agnes (William) Simmons, Great Falls, MT, Paul Becker, Baton Rouge, LA and John (Gail) Becker, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Norman Glaub, Thomas Becker and Barbara Haefs.
