Rondal Easley

Rondal Lee Easley, 77, of Sherrard, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at his home. Private graveside services will be held at Viola Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Memorials may be made to the Sherrard Volunteer Fire Department. He was born May 4, 1933, in Hocomo, Mo., son of Clyde and Lena Huff Easley. He married Leoma Cobb Oct. 16, 1952, in Mountain Home, Ark. In 1949, he graduated from Bakersfield High School. Ron enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January 1952 and served until December 1955. Mr. Easley was employed by Carpenters Union Local 4 in 1964, retiring in 1999. Ron loved his wife, family and being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, bow shoots with his boys, riding his Grizzley Four Wheeler and dancing with his wife. He is survived by his wife, Leoma Easley, Sherrard; children (spouses), Steven (Cathi) Easley, Viola, Rhonda (Jon) Ricketts, Ephrata, Pa., and Craig (Patti) Easley, Viola; grandchildren, Stephanie (Tony) Ward, Brian (Joleen) Easley, Amber (Matt) Bruning, Brandon Ricketts, Cory Ricketts, Carrie Ricketts, Randi (Steve) Burton and Cody Easley; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
