Roger Beattie

Roger A. Beattie, 19, of Moline, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Trinity Rock Island. Services are 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Burial is at New Boston Cemetery. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at the funeral home. A memorial fund will be established in his name. He was born June 4, 1991, in Silvis, to Patricia Laleman and John Beattie. He married Becky Brown Dec. 21, 2010, in Rock Island. He had attended Sherrard and Westmer schools. Roger had worked at Greystone, Bettendorf. He also worked part time for Spencer Disposal with his father. His many hobbies included skateboarding, playing and singing music, fishing, hunting, Frisbee golf and spending time with his brother. Survivors include his wife, Becky Beattie, Moline; mother, Patricia Laleman, Davenport; father and stepmother, John and Jenny Beattie, Seaton; brothers, Logan and Daniel Beattie, Seaton; grandparents, Dan and Deb Beattie, New Windsor, Roger and Brenda Laleman, Campbell's Island, Mike and Cindy Bosold, Milan, and Jim and Linda Pearson, New Windsor; and great-grandmother, Dorothy Beattie, Andalusia. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
