Richard “Dickie” Larson, 59, of East Moline, Illinois died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport.
A memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, with visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Memorials may be left for the family.
Richard Larson was born September 5, 1952 in Aledo, Illinois to Richard and Marjorie Reynolds Larson. Dickie graduated from Winola High School in 1970. He married Paula Morrison. Then on September 29, 2001 in rural Aledo, he married Tresa Whittington. He retired from highway construction out of Laborers Local 309. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, New Windsor. Dickie enjoyed fishing, gardening and whittling and carving wood.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tresa Larson, East Moline; children, Haley Larson, Moline, Chasity Whittington, Greenville, NC and Robin Leonard, Greenville, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kathy Smith.
