Phyllis Mehle

Phyllis J. Mehle, 88, of Keithsburg, Illinois died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Monmouth Nursing Home.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 28 ^th at First Christian Church, Keithsburg.  Burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg.  Visitation is Monday, April 27 ^th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church.  Memorials may be left for Keithsburg Fire Dept. or Keithsburg First Christian Church.  Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements.

Phyllis was born September 30, 1926 in Alton, Illinois, her parents were Frank and Mary Hartnett Dwyer.  She graduated from Woodruff High School, Peoria.  In June of 1947, Phyllis married Donald Mehle (former Peoria Fire Dept.  Battalion Chief) in Peoria, they were married until his death on March 24, 1991.  Phyllis worked at Dental Arts Lab, Peoria.  Upon their retirement in 1975, the couple moved to Keithsburg.  Mrs. Mehle was an avid sports fan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons:  Gary (Cherie) Mehle, Monmouth, IL and Scott (Sheila) Mehle, Havana, FL; 4 step grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; 4 step great great grandchildren; special niece: Michelle (Mike) Reed; special nephew:  Chris (Dixie) Williams and special friend:  Kathy Tweed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters – Wilma Williams and Claire Wagoner and niece Mary Beth Wright.
