Peggy J. Gluba, 82, of Keithsburg, Illinois died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Aledo Rehab and Health Care Center.
Visitation is Wednesday, March 8th from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 9th at Keithsburg First Christian Church. Burial will be Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
Peggy was born April 30, 1934 in Brighton, Iowa a daughter of Joseph and Cecil Lowe Snider. On June 13, 1953, she married James Gluba in Keithsburg. They were married until his death on May 5, 1984. Peg was a homemaker and stay at home mom. For several years she opened her home as a day care for many of Keithsburg’s children. You could often find Peg walking around town or tending to her flowers and garden. She was an avid reader.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son: Jim (Janice) Gluba, Woodhull, IL; granddaughters: Kelly Wodtka, Allison (David) Trigg and Laura (Nick) Morris; great grandchildren: Anna Wodtka, Owen and Alex Morris and Kemper Trigg and sisters: Violet Nicola, Columbus City, IA and Betty Warren, Washington, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 infant sons, husband, sisters: Donna Manning and Hazel Marshall and brothers: Eugene and Joseph Snider.
