Monte McCreight

Monte McCreight, 52, of Reynolds, Illinois died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at home.  Funeral services are Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2:30 p.m., with visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, at First Baptist Church, Aledo.  Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery.  Memorials may be left for a memorial to be established at a later date.  Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements.

Montgomery McCreight was born April 25, 1962 in Aledo, a son of Lane and Carol Wood McCreight.  Monte graduated from Aledo High School in 1980, later graduating from Welding School in Tulsa, OK.  On November 19, 2004, he married Melissa Tharp in Rock Island.  Monte was a truck driver for PFG-Performance Food Group.  He was a member of Aledo First Baptist Church.  Many hobbies kept Monte and Missy busy… he enjoyed NASCAR, his Harley, horseback riding, camping and racing go-karts.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Missy McCreight, Reynolds; son, Cavin Parker, Reynolds; mother, Carol McCreight, Aledo; siblings, Craig (Deb) McCreight, East Moline and Dee (Greg) Pottorff, Mt. Vernon.  He was preceded in death by his father.
