Mary M. Brandon, 88 of Milan, formerly of Viola died Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at her home. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011 at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is Sunday, May 22, 2011 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Sterling, Illinois a daughter of Ralph and Lola (Logue) Smith. She married Harvey R. Brandon on August 24, 1940 in Hannibal, Missouri. He died November 13, 2006. She was a homemaker. Mary enjoyed reading and bowling. She especially loved spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Peggy Sherfey, Jonesboro, TN, Carolyn Treanton, Parkview, IA, Mary Durbin, Milan, IL, Ralph (Sharon) Brandon, Davenport, IA, Harvey J. (Barb) Brandon, Sr., Moline IL, Donald (Rita) Brandon, Sr. Viola, IL, Bill Brandon, Moline, IL and Robert (Karen) Milan; 21 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren and brother, Bill Hobson, Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 granddaughters, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, a brother and a sister.
