Marvin Sims

Marvin L. Sims, 87, of Northridge, California died Monday, July 9, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.

Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20th at Viola Cemetery.  Dennison Funeral Home, Viola is handling arrangements.

Marvin Lester Sims was born February 7, 1931 in Galesburg, Illinois a son of Orville and Helen Johnson Sims.  He married Donna Louise Edwards on October 27, 1957 in Avon, Illinois.  Marvin spent 40 years as a banker, starting as a bookkeeper and ending his career as a president.

Marvin is survived by his adoring wife, Donna; his treasured son, Kendal (Olga) and daughter, Kendra (Steven); five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and his devoted sister, Catherine, nephews and niece.
