Marla Carol Steagall

Carol Steagall, 68, of Aledo, died Monday, March 3, 2008, in Aledo. Funeral Mass is 11:30 a.m. Friday, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Matherville. Burial is in St. John Cemetery, Viola. Dennison Funeral Home, Viola, is handling arrangements. She was born Aug. 31, 1939, in Matherville, to Michael and Alice David Miller. She married Henry Ray Steagall in 1963. He died in 2000. Carol was a hairdresser for many years. She liked to read and enjoyed writing. One of her greatest enjoyments was riding horses. Mrs. Steagall was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Matherville. Survivors include daughters, Kay and Mike Stevens, Maquoketa, Iowa, and Renea and Duke Hainline, Milan; son, Ron Miller, Aledo; three grandchildren, Jyme, Daulton and Lacey; mother, Alice Miller, Aledo; sister, Pam Miller, Aledo; brothers, Tom and Sis Miller, Matherville, Mike and Deb Miller, Davenport and special friends; Mick McMeekan and Marcia Edwards.
