Marilyn R. James, 76, of Keithsburg, Illinois, died Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Aledo Health and Rehab.

A memorial visitation is Saturday, September 26th from 10:00 am -12:00 pm at First Christian Church in Keithsburg. Graveside services will follow at Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. In accordance with public gathering guidelines… social distancing will be observed and masks required.  Memorials may be left for First Christian Church, Keithsburg.

Marilyn was born March 22, 1944 in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Donald L. Truitt and Leora H. Howard. On December 9, 1962 she married Robert W. “Jessie” James in New Boston, Illinois. He died April 16, 2018.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son:  Donald (Louise) Truitt; grandchildren: Daphne Truitt and Cody James; great grandchildren: Annamae and Jesse James; brothers:  Bill Truitt, Dick Truitt, Walter Howard Jr., Steve Howard, George Howard, Anthony Howard, Clarence Howard, Ezra Howard and sisters: Zelpha Allen, Audrey Nylin, Phillippine Richardson and Linda Watts.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter Seena Rose James.
