Marie Hake, 88, of New Boston, Illinois died at home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, May 1, 2015.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 5 th at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Father Anthony Co of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Joe Ham, Brandon Coulter, Tristan Ham, Trace Ham, Robert Brito, Matt Falenski, Scott Lincoln and Eric Miller. Burial will be in New Boston Cemetery. Memorials may be left for the family.
Marie was born January 6, 1927, in Longeville En Bauive, France a daughter of Joseph and Charlotte Osolo Galemberti. She married Leroy Hake on July 27, 1956 in Princeton, Illinois. For 29 years, Marie worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, retiring from Mercer County Nursing Home and Aledo Rehab and Health Care. She was a past president and member of Matherville Eagles Auxiliary and Viola American Legion Auxiliary. Marie enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers, and loved spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband: Leroy Hake, New Boston, IL; children: Josie (Dave Thompson) Goben, Aledo, IL and Joe (Judy) Ham, New Boston, IL; grandchildren: Kim (Bob) Brito, Tucson, AZ, Janie (Scott) Lincoln, Joy, IL, Jacki (Eric) Miller, Alexis, IL, Joey (Kate) Ham, Aledo, IL, Mathew Falenski, Marysville, WA and great grandchildren, Marci (Kyle) Brito, Tucson, AZ, Lianne (Kyle) Strand, WA, Kristin Falenski, WA, Brandon (Ashley) Coulter, New Boston, IL, Kelly Smith, FL and Tristin and Trace Ham, Aledo, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Maxine Ferguson, granddaughter: Lori Falenski, great grandson, Kevin Smith and 2 sisters in infancy.
