Lucas Adams

Lucas D. Adams, 46, of Matherville, Illinois passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 25, 2023.

Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and there are no services planned at this time.  Memorials may be directed to the family to benefit his daughter Brooklyn.  Dennison Funeral Home, Viola is assisting the family.

Lucas Dean was born February 18, 1977 in Rock Island to Robert Daniel and Elaine Harris Adams.  He graduated from Sherrard High School in 1995.  On June 25, 2011 he married Kimberli Crosby in Davenport, Iowa.  The couple welcomed their daughter Brooklyn in 2013.  Tragically, Kimberli passed away four months later on February 13, 2014.  From that point forward, Luke devoted his life to raising his beloved Brooklyn.  Luke also enjoyed boating with family on the Mississippi as well as spending time on Fort Walton Beach, Florida. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter:  Brooklyn Adams; parents:  Elaine and Leo Edmondson; sister:  Emilee Dalton; niece:  Olivia Dalton; grandmothers:  Mary Adams and Janet Harris; step-siblings:  Jeff (Anita), Jamie, and Jay Edmondson; mother-in-law:  Deann Crosby; sisters-in-law:  Heidi (Mike) Wise and Misti Thurston; and nieces and nephew:  Tori Crosby, Hailey Thurston, and Dylan (Julissa) Thurston.

He was preceded in death by his wife:  Kim; father:  Dan Adams; grandfather:  Tom Harris; and father-in-law:  Bruce Crosby.
