Larry L. Long, 67, of Aledo, Illinois died Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Trinity Rock Island.
Visitation is Thursday, July 14th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo. Private interment will be held in Aledo Cemetery. Memorials may be left for the family.
Larry was born September 4, 1948 in Milan, Illinois a son of Albert and Donna Johnson Long. He was a 1967 graduate of Aledo High School. On October 17, 1969, he married Sandra Pearson in Reynolds, Illinois. Larry was a life-long electrician. He started working with his dad at Long Electric and took over the family business when his dad passed away. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed horse racing and tending to his garden. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandsons.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Sandy Long; son and daughter-in-law: Geff and Andrea Long; grandsons: Zade and Kane Long; mother: Donna Long; sister and brother-in-law: Sharon and Brad Vipond, all of Aledo, IL and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, infant brother: Roger Long and daughter: Becky Long.
