Kimberly A. Kness, 54, of New Windsor, Illinois passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 in Davenport.
Graveside services are 11:00 am on Monday, August 10th at Hopewell Cemetery, rural New Windsor, Illinois. Memorials may be given to the family. Dennison Funeral Home, Viola is handling arrangements.
Kimberly was born September 13, 1965 in Moline, Illinois the daughter of Thomas and Mary “Fran” Weihler Masters. She married Michael Kness on November 12, 1983 in Viola, Illinois. He passed away on October 10, 2017. Kim was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. She also enjoyed watching the Chicago Bulls and Cubs. Kim enjoyed blues music and loved attending the Blues Fest. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially playing marbles, cards, and board games with her children. Kim coached summer league softball from 1997-2002. She rarely missed a game for any of her children or nieces and nephews. She loved parades, yard sales, bull riding, fast cars, reading, and puzzles. Kim always looked for a silver lining and never lost faith in her loved ones. May we all take comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with her husband and son.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother: Mary “Fran” (Eldon Nichols) Masters of Milan, Illinois; children: Amanda Kness of New Windsor, Illinois, Cassandra Kness of South Carolina and Jonathan (Karen) Kness of Waukegan, Illinois and grandchildren: Marcellus, Aryanna, and Ainsley.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, husband and son Brice.
