Kathy Ann Smith, 50, of Keithsburg, Illinois died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12th at Keithsburg First Christian Church. Burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Visitation is Friday, Oct. 11th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the family.
Kathy Ann was born February 26, 1963 in Monmouth, Illinois a daughter of Bill and Rose Lundeen Garner. She graduated from Union High School. On April 6, 2002, she married Jeff Smith in Keithsburg. She and Jeff owned/operated Smitty’s Bar in Keithsburg for several years. Kathy had also worked at Cannon Bronze and more recently ADM, Keithsburg. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Her greatest love was being a grandma and she was the best.
Survivors include her husband Jeff, Keithsburg; children, Doug (Gina) Slagel, Keithsburg and Tamara Link, Oquawka; step sons, Travis and Cody Smith both of New Boston; grandchildren, Chloe, Brianna, Kendyll, Mykenzie, Dylan, Brody and Kamber; sisters, Linda, Penny and Susie and brothers, Mike and Rusty.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Willie.
