Johnny Brackney

Johnny Brackney, 77, of New Boston, Illinois died Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at home.

Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.  Memorials may be left in his name for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo assisted the family.

Johnny Lee was born August 22, 1943 in Pekin, Illinois the son of Charles and Helen Brooks Brackney.  He graduated from Limestone High School, Bartonville, Illinois.  Johnny worked at Keystone Steel and Wire for 36 years.  In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved the time he spent on the Mississippi River.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother:  Helen Alder; children:  Chris (Jodie) Brackney and Dawn (Joe Behm) Brackney, all of Peoria, Illinois and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandson Tyler Gardner.
