Joseph B. Zimmerman, 42, of New Boston, Illinois died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at University of Iowa Hospital.
Visitation is Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at United Methodist Church, Joy, Illinois. Services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at the church. Burial will be in Peniel Cemetery, Joy. Memorials may be left for his daughters. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements.
Joseph Brent was born Nov. 20, 1970 in Monmouth, Illinois a son of Ronald and Candace Pullen Zimmerman. He graduated with the Westmer High School Class of 1988, then later graduated from Augustana College. He married Jennifer Krahl on Nov. 30, 1991 in Joy, IL. Joe was a liquor distributor for Johnson Brothers of Iowa for many years. As a wine connoisseur, he enjoyed sampling different wines. Joe was an outdoorsman, from boating, snowmobiling and four-wheeling to hunting. He loved listening to music, traveling and immersing himself in one of his many projects. Joe deeply loved his family and his girls were his whole world.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jenny Zimmerman; daughters, Kaley, Sydney and Ryann; father, Ron “Buck” Zimmerman; brothers and sister-in-law, Dave and Tonia Zimmerman and Matt Zimmerman and sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Matt McCusker.
He was preceded in death by his mother and nephew, Darrin Zimmerman.
