James Loveridge, 77, of Keithsburg, Illinois died Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Trinity Rock Island.
Visitation is Friday, February 19th from 4 – 7 p.m. at First Christian Church, Keithsburg. Due to Covid-19 precautions, masks will be required. Private graveside services will be held in Peniel Cemetery, Joy. Memorials may be left for Keithsburg Fire Department. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements.
James Neil was born August 10, 1943 in Moline, Illinois a son of Roger O. and Mary Smith Loveridge. The Little York High School graduate went on to serve in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He had married Rebecca Black then Cheryl Hintz, they later divorced. In 1988, he married Marsha Feehan Diehl in Kahoka, Missouri. Jim sold feed for MoorMans and Kent. He spent most of his career as a truck driver, many years with DeMarlie Trucking then later with Three Amigo’s Trucking. He was a member of the Keithsburg Boat Club. Jim was a true outdoorsman…he enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, boating and golfing.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Marsha Loveridge, Keithsburg; children: Jody (Michael) Gibson, Phoenix, Arizona, Lisa (J.D.) DeLaRosa, Silvis; Misty (Delane) Holmes, Aledo, Michael (Joleen) Diehl, Aledo and Bobby (Cherilyn) Diehl, Muscatine; 15 grandchildren: Madeline and Charlotte Gibson, Tyler and Kiera DeLaRosa, Teague Smith, Payton Holmes, Alexandria Reynolds, Bryanna Martin, Drew Brown, Kylee McCreight, Nikki Diehl, Sam Diehl and Nariah, Nevaeh and A.J. Einfeldt; 9 great grandchildren; sister: Alta Kay Pittard, Georgia and sister-in-law: Lucille Loveridge, Martinez, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: David and Loretta and granddaughter: Chloe Diehl.
