Janet Hill

Janet L. Hill, 61, of Aledo died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at her home. Graveside service are 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the family. She was born Jan. 16, 1946, in Keithsburg, the daughter of True Clinton and Pearl Mable Harris Brown. She married Richard "Dick" Hill June 7, 1963, in Seaton. He died March 3, 2006. She was a homemaker. Janet enjoyed playing cards, hand-held games and doing word seek puzzles. Survivors are daughters (spouses), Lisa (Mort) McWhorter, Aledo, and Trudi (Lance) Shepard, New Boston; sons (spouses): Jeff (Sherry) Hill and Chad Hill all of Joy; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Hill, Sarah Hill, Ashley Dixon, Cody Dixon, Kirstie Dixon, Dylan Shepard and Blake Shepard; two great-grandchildren, Savannah Weeks and Carter Dale; and six sisters, Ruth Dennison, Peanuts Vandevort, Jerry Nylin, all of Keithsburg and Shirley Litwiler, Connie Freeman and Marsha Loving, all of Aledo. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, six sisters and five brothers.
