James Puckett

James H. Puckett, Jr., 56 of New Boston, Illinois died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Trinity, West, Rock Island, Illinois. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008 at New Boston United Methodist Church. Burial will be in New Boston Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, April 16 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at New Boston United Methodist Church. Memorials may be left for the family. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements. Jim was born January 25, 1952 in Dexter, Missouri the son of James H., Sr. and Maxine (Casteele) Puckett. He married Lucinda F. Coulter on April 12, 1972 in Aledo, Illinois. Jim worked for 25 years as a pipe fitter welder out of Local 25, Rock Island. Jim enjoyed the river, playing cards and he liked to snowmobile. He loved spending time with his friends and especially his grandkids. Jim is survived by his wife, Lucinda, New Boston, IL; daughter and son-in-law, Tonia and Dave Zimmerman, Ankeny, IA; three grandchildren, Emilee, Darrin and Thomas Zimmerman; mother, Maxine Puckett, Fort Madison, IA; four siblings, David Puckett, Jake Puckett, Kathy Clair all of Fort Madison, IA and Kay Cole, Pella, IA; aunt, Ruby Gizell, Hornersville, MO and uncles, Jack Puckett, New Boston, IL and Elmer Puckett, Fort Madison, IA. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Charles.
