James Nussbaum

James F. Nussbaum, 56, of Keithsburg, died Friday, April 28, 2006, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, with the Rev. Charles Reynolds of First Christian Church, Keithsburg, officiating. The organist will be Lavota Armstrong. Burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Pallbears will be Ryan Williams, Harry Spaulding, Tony Spaulding, Buck Spaulding, Mike Spaulding and Rick Goetzl. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 1, at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. He was born Feb. 20, 1950, in Kirksville, Mo., son of Floyd and Christine McNary Nussbaum. He married Arlene "Cookie" Pressley April 20, 1974, in Rock Island. He was a welder for 30 years at JI Case, retiring in October 2003. He was a member of the UAW. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and horseback riding. Surviving are his wife, Cookie, Keithsburg; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Ryan Williams, Keithsburg; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Lisa Nussbaum, Davenport; four grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler, Stefanie and Alex; and an aunt, Mary Hoy, Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry.
