Helen I. McCaulley, 82, of Viola, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 21st at 1:00 p.m. at the Big Red Barn (1116 330th Street, New Windsor, IL). The family invites all… to bring a story or memory of Helen to share, and to stay after the service for a time of food and fellowship. Memorials may be left for First Apostolic Church in Viola, where she was a member.
Helen was born January 27, 1933 in Canton, Illinois the daughter of Elmer and Mabel Callendar Holmes. She was a 1951 graduate of Farmington High School, and 1952 graduate of Illinois Wesleyana Business School. On April 15, 1956, she married Claude R. McCaulley. They were married until his death in 1993. Helen was a talented pianist, playing for over 75 years. She taught piano lessons for many years and was a well-known accompanist for school plays and competitions.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter and son-in-law: Rebecca “Becky” and Fred Lindburg, Matherville, IL; son and daughter-in-law: Richard and Lori McCaulley, High Springs, FL; grandchildren: Kelly Bramlett, Bear McCaulley, Zach McCaulley, Derek Lindburg and Seth Lindburg; and 7 great grandchildren.
