Gregory Cocquit, Jr., 28 of Dunnellon, Florida died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 in Florida. Funeral services are 12:30 p.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, New Windsor. Greg was born October 13, 1979 in Geneseo, Illinois the son of Gregory Sr. and Tammara Pullen Cocquit. He was raised on the family farm, rural New Windsor and attended Sherrard Schools. Greg was a truck driver for Agri-Source, Inc., Ocala, Florida. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his son, Cody Matthew Cocquit, Pinellas Park, FL; father and step-mother, Greg and Marilyn Cocquit, New Windsor; mother, Tammy Pullen, Dunnellon, FL; brothers, Billy Tines, Galva, Nick Cocquit, Colona and Chad Olson, New Windsor; sisters, Karrie Higgins, Carbon Cliff, IL and Jesse Raley, Davenport, IA and his grandmother, Shirley Cocquit, Geneseo. He was preceded in death by three grandparents.
