Evelyn Munson

Evelyn Munson, 89, of Keithsburg, Illinois died Sunday, January 6, 2019 at home.

Graveside services are 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9th at Biggsville Cemetery, Biggsville, Illinois.  Memorials may be left for the family.  Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements.

Ora Evelyn Munson was born March 2, 1929 in Carman Township, Illinois the daughter of John C. and Ora Huelet Siens.  On October 4, 1945, she married Charles Henry “Chub” Munson, Sr. in Biggsville.   They were married until his death on August 29, 1996.  Evelyn worked at Rockwell-Collins in Cedar Rapids for 13 years, retiring in 1985.  In her free-time, she enjoyed crocheting, camping and fishing, going to the casino and traveling.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children:  Alice F. Munson of Keithsburg, Illinois, Charlie “Dink” Munson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Deborah S. Munson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and sister:  Pauline Myers of West Burlington, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
