Evelyn B. Bloomfield, 89, of Racine, Wis., formerly of Viola, went to be with her Lord Friday, April 7, 2006, in Racine. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Viola United Presbyterian Church. Burial is in Viola Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Memorials may be made to Viola United Presbyterian Church. She was born July 31, 1916, in Viola, the daughter of Harry and Belle Smith Lindberg. She married Richard Bloomfield Jan. 26, 1935, in Rock Island. He died Nov. 30, 1983. She graduated from Viola High School. She provided home cleaning services for Viola residents. She worked 30 years, retiring in 1983. Her hobbies included cross-stitching, rug hooking, baking, cooking and canning. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid member of Viola United Presbyterian Church, where she was a choir member. Survivors (and spouses) include daughter, Barbara (Norman) Bunn, Davenport; son, Leo (Teresa) Bloomfield, Racine; grandchildren, Angela Kirk, Kip Bunn, Tim Bunn, Robert Congrove, Douglas Congrove, Jason Bloomfield and Christen Bloomfield and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant daughter; two brothers and one sister.
