Ernest Robert “Bob” Walker, Jr., 77, of Viola, Illinois died at home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, June 26, 2015.
Mr. Walker’s body was donated for medical research. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2nd at the Fellowship Hall of Viola United Methodist Church. Memorials may be left for the family.
He was born July 24, 1937 in Leeds, Alabama a son of Ernest R., Sr. and Lula Mae Snyder Walker. On June 2, 1962, he married Lois I. Chambers in Ottumwa, Iowa. Ernie was a retired truck driver with Standard Forwarding. He was a member of the Rivoli Gun Club and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife: Lois “Lou” Walker, Viola, IL; children: Jeffrey A. Walker, McKinney, TX and Joyce Ann Walker, New Windsor, IL; 4 grandchildren: Juanita Mari, Jeffrey, Sarina and Joshua and twin great grandsons: Gunnar and Landon. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.
