Eric Scholting

Eric Brandon Scholting, 35, of New Windsor, Illinois passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Illinois.  He was born on November 15, 1987, in St. Petersburg, Florida to Alan Jeffrey Scholting and Carla Jean (Solberg) Scholting.

Eric graduated from Sherrard High School, as well as Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree.  He then went on to graduate from Scott County Community College. Eric worked as an Echocardiologist at the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

Eric is survived by his girlfriend Amanda Whitlock and her son Bob, his mother Carla Scholting and her partner Ted Soliz, his brothers Alan (Brook) Scholting, Matthew (Lauren Wallentin) Dolan, Danny (Ellie Martinez) Dolan, niece Serenity, and nephews Patrick, Thorin, and Harrison.

Eric is preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Alan Jeffrey Scholting.
