Edward G. Huston, 72, of New Boston, Illinois died Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Genesis Illini, Silvis, Illinois.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 31st from 12:00 (Noon) – 2:00 p.m. at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo; followed by a 3:00 p.m. graveside service at New Boston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the family to help with expenses.
Edward was born August 29, 1943 in Fountain City, Wisconsin a son of Ralph and Caroline Kiel Huston. Pvt. Huston served in the United States Army from 1962-1965 He married Doris Baele on June 20, 1970 in East Moline, IL; they later divorced. Over the years, Mr. Huston had worked at John Deere Harvester and road construction with Hawkeye Paving, Bettendorf, IA. He was a member of the East Moline American Legion. Ed enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and sitting outside listening to wind chimes. He loved time spent with family, being ornery.
Those left to cherish his memory are his 3 daughters: Melissa (David) Weeks, Tricia (Ray) Lee and Eddie (Jay Walters) Flynn, all of East Moline; 6 grandchildren: Carisa Riley, Katie Despain, Kori Huston, Kody Flynn, Logan Goldizen and Rileigh Weeks and his 3 siblings: Chet Huston and Dorothy Lane, both of New Boston and Jan Dusenberry, Rock Island. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 siblings: Bob, David and Howard Huston and Linda Chapman.
