Edward L. Barnhouse, 54, of Viola, died Monday, April 16, 2007, at Mercer County Hospital, Aledo. Services are 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Burial is in Viola Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. He was born Oct. 1, 1952, in Aledo, the son of Verne and Maudell Todd Barnhouse. He married Beverly Terrill May 20, 1972, in New Boston. Ed worked at John Deere Harvester in East Moline for 30 years, retiring in 2004. He served in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1972 to 1978. Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his Harley. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors (and spouses) include his wife, Beverly Barnhouse, Viola; one daughter, Angie (Tyler) Fullerton, Keithsburg; two sons, Joe (Mindy) Barnhouse and Clint Barnhouse, both of Viola; five grandchildren, Alison Barnhouse, Mikayla, Jessie and Gavin Fullerton and Katelyn Barnhouse; three sisters, Joan White, Joy, Ruth Whitehall, Aledo, and Judy Palmer, Pekin, Ill.; two brothers, Larry Barnhouse, Keithsburg, and David Barnhouse, Aledo. He was preceded in death by his parents.
