Edward E. Anderson, 65, of Seaton, Illinois died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Genesis Medical Center, Aledo.

Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded.  A memorial visitation is Thursday, May 19th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, Keithsburg.  Private burial will at a later date in Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the Keithsburg Playground Committee Fund.  Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family.

Edward Emery was born January 18, 1951 in Aledo, Illinois a son of Gustav “Andy” Venton and Verna June Diehl Anderson.  On November 11, 1968 he married Leslie Renea Morrison at Wesley United Methodist Church, Muscatine.  She passed away February 21, 2014.  Ed was a 1969 graduate of Westmer High School.  He worked as a tuck pointer with the Bricklayer’s Union for 38 years, retiring in the fall of 2006.  He was a former member of the Keithsburg Lions Club, Keithsburg Masonic Lodge, Illinois Council #1 Cryptic Masons and the NRA.  Ed played softball and basketball long after high school.  He loved to bird hunt, but his greatest love was fishing.  He spent hours and enjoyed making jigs, flies and lures to share with any of his fishing friends.  He also liked having fish fries and sitting around the fire.

Survivors include his children:  Toni Lee (Mark) Weeks, Aledo, Illinois, Evan Edward (Rebecca) Anderson, Huntington Beach, California and Joni Irene (Danny Callahan) Anderson, Muscatine, Iowa; grandchildren:  Morgan, Matthew and Mason Weeks, Anna and Nathan Sharar and Hannah and Cody Callahan, sister:  Peggy Jo Ives, Bentonville, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
