Dorothy "Dottie" McCaw

Dorothy Ann "Dottie" McCaw, 71, of Aledo, IL, formerly of Keithsburg, IL, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at her home. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 4 at 6:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Aledo, IL. Private graveside services will be in Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Memorials may be left in her name to the Humane Society, as animals held a special place in her heart. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements. Dorothy was born June 11, 1940 in Waldron, Arkansas a daughter of James Kyle and Julie Elizabeth Doyle Dunlap. On February 6, 1965, she married Alden L. McCaw in San Bernardino, CA. He died on March 1, 2009. She was a homemaker and an artist, she loved to paint. Dottie also enjoyed reading and playing cards. Along with her husband, she was a member of the Elks. Those left to cherish her memory are her step-children, Debbe (Tim) Zietlow, Grants Pass, OR, Doug (Doniese) McCaw, Englewood, CO, Donald McCaw, Vancouver, WA and Kathi Trementozzi, Frisco, TX; 6 step-grandchildren; 5 (with one on the way) step-great grandchildren; brother, Earl (Viola) Dunlap, Morrilton, AR and sister, Ruth Hampton, Victorville, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Orville Dunlap in 2006.
