Dorothy "Dottie" Hutt

Dorothy L. “Dottie” Hutt, 67, of Sherrard, Illinois died Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Trinity Rock Island.

Visitation is Sunday, January 15^th from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola.  Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 16^th at the funeral home.  Cremation will take place after services, with burial in Aledo Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials may be left for the family.

Dorothy Lee was born May 30, 1955 in Aledo, Illinois the daughter of Merle and Wanda King Greer.  She graduated from Winola High School in 1973.  On December 25, 1985 she married Robert Hutt in Viola.  She and Bob drove semi together for many years.  They were married until his passing on January 24, 2003.  Over the years, Dottie worked at many restaurants, as a CNA at several facilities, and owned/operated an antique store in Aledo.  She also served as a Mercer County Deputy Coroner.    Dottie enjoyed playing Bingo, gambling, and mushroom hunting.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son:  Curtis Livingston; 5 grandchildren; siblings:  Kevin (Robin) Greer and Wendy (Bill) Reckers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter:  Dana Whiting, brothers:  Bradley & Dwayne Greer.
