Don Adams

Donald R. Adams, 60, of Matherville, Illinois unexpectedly passed away at home on Saturday, August 12, 2023.

Cremation has been accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9th from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Oxford American Legion, Alpha, Illinois .  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Dennison Funeral Home, Viola assisted the family  

Donald Ray was born February 23, 1963 in Rock Island, Illinois the son of Kenneth Robert "Bob" and Jean Marie Lannoo Adams.  He graduated from Winola High School in 1982.  Donnie was an over the road truck driver for Musco Lighting.  On May 5, 2018, he married Penny Whitsell in Alpha.  In his free-time he enjoyed tinkering with anything that had a motor. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife:  Penny; sons:  Alex (Felica) Adams and Brian (Samantha) Adams; step-daughter:  Ashley Clark; grandchildren:  Katelyn, Daenika, Jacoby, Oliver, and Arthur; siblings:  Jim (Jayde) Adams, Dave Adams, Barb (Ron) Fontenoy, Tom Adams, Brian Adams, Joe (Dawn) Adams, Marilyn Lang, George Adams, and Linda Adams; as well as his cat:  JJ “Fuzz Butt”.
