David Alan Quick, 70, of Viola, Illinois died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island. Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, with visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Memorials may be left for the family for a memorial fund to be established. Burial will be in Viola Cemetery.
David was born September 6, 1941 in Davenport, Iowa to Guy Milton and Elsie Mae Dick Quick. On November 28, 1959, he married Donna Lee Martin in Davenport. They have been married and lived in Viola for 52 years.
David retired in 2005 from J&B Meats. He is best known for his many years of building and remodeling homes in the Viola Area. Many came to him with mechanical or carpentry problems and he could always figure out the solution.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna Quick, Viola; his children (spouses) Becky (Scott) Bollinger, Viola, Alisa (Curt) Caldwell, Omaha, NE, Mark (Raleen) Quick, Oswego, IL and Scott (Valerie) Quick, Viola and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Davey Lee Quick in 1965.
