David L. Hull, 81, of Viola, died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at Mercer County Hospital, Aledo. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Burial is in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, rural Galesburg. Military rites will be conducted by New Windsor American Legion Post No. 484. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Viola United Methodist Church. He was born Aug. 20, 1925, in Cameron, Ill., the son of Charles and Cora Morris Hull. He married Marjorie Fey Sept. 4, 1946, in Galesburg. She preceded in him death on Aug. 26, 1992. He was a graduate of Abingdon High School. He farmed his whole life, mostly in the Viola area. He served with the Marines during World War II. He loved going to his grandkids' activities and traveling with the New Windsor Drill Team. David was a member of Viola United Methodist Church, New Windsor Rodeo Association and New Windsor American Legion Post 484. Survivors include three daughters and spouses, Jo and Martin Bloomfield, New Windsor, Beth and Rich Frank, Carson, Iowa, Denise and Elmer Lilly Jr., Andover; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister.
