David Anderson

David T. Anderson, 48, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Dennison. Memorials for David may be made to APQC Kids Fund or Pathway Hospice. David was born Oct. 30, 1960, in Rock Island, the son of James C. and Mary "Doodle" Littrell Anderson. David was considered to be a great cook and utilized his cooking talent by sponsoring and preparing fundraising dinners for Aids Project Quad Cities Emergency Fund and for the APQC Kids Fund, of which he was a co-founder. David loved to travel, play cards and enjoy life. Most of all he loved his family. Survivors include his life partner of 24 years, Ronald Friichtenicht, Rock Island; sisters, Mary C. Jones, Viola; Patricia Sheese, New Boston; Janie (Jimmie) Smith, Viola; Teresa (Davie) Elliott, Edgington; Christine Flatley, Matherville; brothers, Robert C. (Carole) Anderson, Tucson, Ariz.; Dennis W. Anderson, Milan; William H. (Suna) Anderson, Aurora, Ill. He was preceded in death by brothers, John E. Anderson and Michael J. Anderson; sister, Julie Ann Jackson; and his parents.
