Dave DeSchepper, 52, of Alexis, Illinois died Friday, July 19, 2013 in Ophiem, Illinois as a result of an accident at the railway crossing.

David W. was born May 23, 1961 in Aledo, Illinois, a son of Kenneth and Mary Grimm DeSchepper. He graduated from Winola High School in 1979. On April 8, 2005, he married Lisa Switzer in Monmouth. Dave had been in the concrete business for 23 years, more recently owning Double D Concrete. He had good friends, and was a good friend in return. His family knew him as the world’s best father and family man.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lisa DeSchepper; son, Chance O. DeSchepper and daughters, Taylor M. Lair and Shelbie L. Lair, all of Alexis, IL; parents, Kenneth and Mary DeSchepper, Viola; sisters, Diane (Gary) Hutton, San Antonio, TX and Sharon (Tom) Brenn, Poplar Grove, IL and brothers, Daniel (Pamela) DeSchepper, Moline, IL and Michael (Jill) DeSchepper, Viola.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Hunt and his grandparents, Frank and Helen DeSchepper and Harry and Rhoda Grimm.
