Darrin Zimmerman

Darrin Joseph Zimmerman, 10, Ankeny, Iowa, passed away Nov. 16, 2009, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at New Boston United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the Methodist Church in New Boston. Burial is at New Boston Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Dennison Funeral Home in Aledo. Darrin was born Sept. 13, 1999, in Rock Island, to Tonia and David Zimmerman. He was a 5th grader at Ashland Ridge Elementary in Ankeny. Darrin loved football, baseball and was a huge Chicago Bears fan. He loved collecting football cards, playing video games and riding his motorcycle. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents; sister, Emilee; brother, Thomas; grandparents, Lucinda Puckett, Ronald Zimmerman; aunts, Jenny and Lisa Zimmerman; and uncle, Joe Zimmerman.
