Dana Pace, Sr.

Dana W. Pace, Sr., 63, of New Boston, Illinois passed away at home on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 after a long courageous battle with lung cancer.

Cremation has been accorded.  A celebration of Dana’s life will be held Sunday, October 1^st from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Riverview Center in Muscatine, Iowa.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Dana William was born February 14, 1960 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Keith D. and Katherine “Kaye” S. Thirtyacre Pace.  He was a 1978 graduate of Muscatine High School.  On April 6, 1979, he married Tirena Marie Jones in Muscatine.  Dana worked at Hon for 25 years, retiring in 2021.  In his free-time, Dana enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and watching sports.  He was a great cook, and was famous for gifting his cookies to family and friends.  His greatest joy was time spent with family, especially his kids and grandkids… they were his world.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years Tirena; sons:  Dana Pace, Jr. (Lisa), David Pace (Kacey Martin), and Nathaneal Pace (Suzzanne); grandchildren:  Aaron, Cameron, Brock, Taylor, Zeven, and Claire; parents:  Keith and Kaye Pace; siblings:  Donald Pace, Kristine Voelker (Paul), and Michelle Miller (Jeff); and in-laws:  Robert and Weninoka “Lee” Jones.
