Curtis L. Coulter, 66, New Boston, died Thursday, Sept. 30, at Trinity Muscatine Hospital. Services are 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 at New Boston United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Eliza Creek Cemetery. Visitation is 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the church. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Mr. Coulter was born June 1, 1944, the son of Vern E. and Helen B. Shotwell Coulter, in Muscatine. He worked at Farmall for more than 30 years, retiring in 1999. After retirement, he enjoyed helping his brother on the farm. He served in the Navy from 1962-65. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and most of all, going to Bay C for coffee and visit with friends. He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Zimmerman and husband, Ron, New Boston; a son Scott Coulter, Keithsburg; grandchildren, Melissa Martz, Amy Terrill and husband Dusty, Lindsay Etheridge, Brandon Coulter and Matt Zimmerman; a great-grandson, Kaiden Terrill; a brother, Gary Coulter and wife, Mary, New Boston; nieces and nephew, Tonnie Dahl, Kevin Coulter and Lisa Dunham and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
