Caroline Spotts

Caroline Spotts, 91 of Matherville, IL, formerly of NY, died Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Aledo Rehab and Health, Aledo, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Matherville, Illinois. Caroline was born May 11, 1915 in Niagara Falls, NY the daughter of Lorenzo and Gina (Del Ghingaro) Orsi. She married John Spotts on February 6, 1937 in NY. She was a homemaker. Caroline enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and golfing - which she was still able to do into her early 80's. She also enjoyed playing cards with her sisters. Survivors (spouses) include: son; John (Joanny) Spotts, Bettendorf; 5 Grandchildren; Dean Spotts, San Diego, CA, Diane Essex, Davenport, Debbie (Bob) Livingston, Blue Grass, Lori (John) Matkovic, Matherville and Tina (Eric) Longlett, Bettendorf; 13 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; 4 siblings; Ralph (Nancy) Orsi, Olga (Carmen) Battista, Nellie Huryn, all of NY and Ann Katynski, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - John, 4 brothers and 1 sister. A special thank you to all who took care of her for the past nine years while at Aledo Rehab and Health.
