Carmie Shoemaker House, 50, of Gladstone, IL formerly of Keithsburg, IL died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at her home. A memorial service is Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at the Keithsburg First Christian Church. Rev. Charles Reynolds, officiating. Burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Memorials may be left for the Henderson County Hospice. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements. Carmie was born April 17, 1961 in Aledo, Illinois a daughter of Freeman Sr. and Arlene Sweet Shoemaker. She was a graduate of Westmer High School, Joy, IL. She married Ralph D. House on August 4, 1984 in Keithsburg. Over the years she held numerous factory jobs. Most recently, for the last 3 years, at Lance Private Brands as a machine operator and process tech. Carmie was a Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader when her daughter was young. She enjoyed her home and family and relaxing by the pool. Survivors include her significant other, Ralph House; children, Jade House of Burlington, IA and Seth House of Beardstown, IL; grandchildren, Zandra Zeh and Zoey Zeh, both of Niota, IL; her parents, Freeman Sr. and Arlene Shoemaker of Oquawka, IL; siblings, Gerry Brock of Muscatine, IA and Freemie Shoemaker of Oquawka, IL. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
