Beverly Jean Chenault, 65, of Keithsburg, Illinois was surrounded by family as she passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Aledo Rehab and Healthcare, Aledo, Illinois.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2nd at Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Following services, all are invited to the First Christian Church for a time of food and fellowship. Memorials may be left for PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) Foundation. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo was entrusted with arrangements.
Beverly was born April 2, 1951 in Macomb, Illinois a daughter of Virgil and Kathleen Tyler Cookson. On June 22, 1990, she married Donald Chenault in Keithsburg. Bev worked several factory jobs over the years, spending many of those years at McGraw Edison in Macomb and Cannon Bronze in Keithsburg. Her many talents included sewing, oil painting and following in her mother’s footsteps by baking and decorating cakes. She also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Bev attended the Keithsburg First Christian Church and was a lifetime member and past president of the Bushnell V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband: Don Chenault, Keithsburg, IL; children: Laura (Matt) Schliep, Zumbrota, MN, Aaron (Jamie Peterson) Bundy, Aledo, IL and Carey Douglas, Chattanooga, TN; step-children: Dean (Julie) Chenault, Mt. Zion, IL, Daryl (Christel) Chenault, Monmouth, IL and Duane (Jen) Chenault, Galesburg, IL; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, with 1 loving expected; several nieces and nephews and special friends: Carole and Melvin Robbins, Keithsburg, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roy Cookson.
