Barbara Reckers

Barbara J. Reckers, 57, of Keithsburg, Illinois died Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center East Campus, Davenport, Iowa.  Services are Wednesday, March 18 ^th at 4:00 p.m., with visitation from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., at Keithsburg First Christian Church.  Following the service, the family invites all to stay for a time of food and shared memories.  Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo is handling arrangements.

Barbara Jean was born August 2, 1957 in Dallas, Texas a daughter of Charles and Gladys Montford Gardiner.  She married Jimmy Reckers on March 27, 1992 in El Paso, Texas.  For most of her life, she was a house wife.  Barbara was a collector and enjoyed going to yard sales.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Reckers, Keithsburg, IL; children, Michelle Blaszczyk, Cambridge, IL, Ted “David” Johnson, Keithsburg, IL, Mike Reckers, Davenport, IA, Charles Myers, Aledo, IL, Walter Dickson, El Paso, TX and Melissa Ford, Aledo, IL; 10 grandchildren; mother, Gladys Gardiner, El Paso, TX and siblings, Ruth Copeland, Michigan; Elizabeth Duggard, Rose Ruleford, Pat Gardiner and John Gardiner, all of El Paso, TX.

She was preceded in death by her father and brother, David Gardiner.
